Letter of Confirmation to the Call of The Time Dialouge in April 2000

We have received your confirmation that you will be with us in Oxford at the next Call of The Time Dialogue. We will be in good company. Attached you will find a list of those who are planning to come. We are sure you share in our pleasure that most of us who have been together in the past will be together again in Oxford. You will also see a few new names who will provide rich contribution to our conversations.
As you know the focus of this particular dialogue is globalization, a subject that has been much in the news. We will consider the close relationship between our "outer" experience in an ever-more-globalized world and our "inner" spiritual experience. Because we come from all continents and an array of cultures it seems appropriate that we look together at this significant phenomenon of globalization so that we can come to understand the possibilities it represents for us in our various fields of action.
Enclosed you will find a draft schedule for our time together. In perusing the schedule you will see that there is time for us to be together as a group -- both formally in dialogue and informally in evening "fireside chats" with Dadi Janki, who is our host in Oxford. Several of you had requested that we spend more time in small groups to allow for the opportunity to go into the subjects more deeply. We have provided for that here. Finally, we have tried to set aside time for silence and mediation as well.
It is our hope that each of us will find ourselves deeply enriched and refreshed in spite of how short our time together really is.
Please provide us with your travel arrangements on the attached form as soon as possible. Kindly indicate whether you would like to be picked up from the airport and taken to the Global Retreat Center in Oxford. We are enclosing a sheet giving you directions to the Global Retreat Center in case you would prefer to make your own way there.
